Memo: NSEA Supports SB164 (2017)

NSEA supports SB164 authorizing school districts to lease school buses to the broader community in certain situations.

The Nevada State Education Association represents 40,000 teachers and education support professionals across Nevada. We believe public education is the basis for a healthy society which results from quality schools, quality educators, and quality communities.

NSEA supports SB 164, authorizing school districts to lease school buses to the broader community in certain situations.

Further, NSEA appreciates that SB 164 gives a hiring preference to school bus drivers working for the district.
