Memo: NSEA supports Assembly Bill 331

NSEA was proud to support AB385 during the 2017 Legislative Session to give all 5th graders access to our state parks. The Outdoor Education and Recreation Grant Program is an equity-based extension of this that would provide high-quality opportunities for kids to experience the outdoors, while learning about the environment and agriculture. The program will promote equity by giving students from lower-income backgrounds access to outdoor educational and recreational programs, utilizing the resources of Nevada’s state park system. This will engage young people who are most at-risk, improving academics, personal health, and appreciation of nature.
