The Governor's budget proposes a per-pupil funding cut—despite Nevada already trailing the national average by $4,000 per student. Our kids can't afford to fall further behind. Without additional investment, our students will continue to fall behind. In 2022, the Commission on School Funding developed a clear, research-backed roadmap to reach optimal funding within 10 years. This plan is not just an investment—it's a promise to Nevada's students and their future. 

Email the Legislature and Governor and tell them to pass the plan

Assembly Bill 232 was introduced on Monday in the Assembly! AB232 is an NSEA priority bill and corrects an inequity that exists for our education support professionals. AB232 would allow ESPs to receive a full year of PERS service credit for working at least 900 hours of the school year.

This bill was heard last session as AB222 and now deserves to be passed to secure the rights ESPs deserve. Send an email today and tell the Assembly why they should support this bill for Education Support Professionals.
