NSEA launched the Respect Educators Act to elevate the safety, well-being, and autonomy of all educators in their work. Along with needed changes to Nevada’s restorative justice student discipline law, NSEA proposed the creation of a restorative practices monitoring committee that includes educators from across the state, including licensed professionals and education support professionals, legislators, and NDE to gain a clear understanding of the impact of the laws, ensure consistent implementation, and secure protection for all students and educators.

NSEA believes this Advisory Committee on the Safety and Well-being of Public School Staff will advance this important work.
