NSEA Government Relations Committee

The NSEA Government Relations Committee is charged with overseeing many of the activities of the Government Relations Program. The committee is made up of representatives from the four major entities of NSEA and meets throughout the year.

The GR Committee members are active members of the NSEA Lobby Team during the legislative sessions. The GR Committee is responsible for making decisions about targeting of candidates once endorsements are finalized and making decisions about contribution amounts given to candidates.


The members of the GR Committee are:

Phil Kaiser, representing the Washoe Education Association

Steve Fargan, Chair, UniServ Council of Nevada (which represents the 15 rural counties)

Vikki Courtney, representing the Clark County Education Association

VACANT, representing the Washoe Education Support Professionals

Susan Fly, representing the Education Support Employees Association

Averill Kelley, representing student members

Sharon Wilcox, representing retired members
